Tips to get the best rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront 6 bedroom - Pet Friendly - Near Village Square & Downtown has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
