Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Get the best value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose and book the rightvacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 10th-floor oceanfront condo with pool hot tub, WiFi & central AC has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you crave, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. message the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
