Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 14th Floor Skyline Retreat: 1 Bedroom King Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available online. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
