Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- To find the best value, change your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 14th floor, high level studio with views! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
