Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Narrow your Search:

  • First, have your family decide on dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. DELUXE King Suite w Dishwasher & Washer\/Dryer at Atlantica Resort Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
