Strategies to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First and foremost, have your family choose vacation dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. 1BR Oceanfront Cozy Upstairs Level has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Tips for a great stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
