Getting the best rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the rightrental home:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. 2 Bedroom Suite Just Steps To Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
