This refreshed two bedroom two bath home inside award-winning ocean lakes family campground is conveniently located just steps away from the ocean and The water park inside the community. Extremely close to all the best amenities Ocean Lakes can provide. 2022 marks the first year this property is to be rented by us as it was freshly purchased and updated. NEW FLOORING IN 2023! Even after the updates in 2022 the floor was very dated and worn, and was usually where we got our negative feedback. If you have family staying in the RV section or you prefer to be close to the activities then this is a great location. Like most ground level homes in Ocean Lakes this is a camper with an addition. There is a bigger bathroom in the addition as well as a master bedroom. The Bunk room and bathroom in the camper section are sized as expected in a camper trailer. The living and dining room areas are fairly open for the size of the home.

This home is not as modern as many in Ocean Lakes, but we it is well kept and clean. This home is where my friends and family stay during their trips to Ocean Lakes. We personally adore the convenience and of being so close to Sandy Harbor Water Park and being near the campsites. During special events and Holiday times it is close to all the action.

Kitchen is full supplied with all necessities. Coffee cups, coffee pot, pots and pans, silverware, dishes, etc.

A $100 Fine will be issued after ONE Warning for the Following:
1. Loud music in the campground.
2. “Cruising” after Quiet Hours (11 PM – 7 AM) with no legitimate destination.
We are not out to harass guests utilizing necessary facilities, such as the bathhouses or Soapy Suds, etc. We are targeting guests “cruising” around the campground, generally making noise or looking for trouble (coolers, bicycles, alcohol, unlocked cars, etc.).

It is true, we are private property, and we choose to uphold the state laws.

Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Booking in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • To start, have your group decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 2br 2ba beach cottage just steps away from the ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
