Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 2 Minute Walk to the Beach! 2nd Row, Ocean View Condo in Windermere at Kingston Plantation has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Advice for a great stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
