Strategies to get the very best vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 2 Minute Walk to the Beach! 2nd Row, Ocean View Condo in Windermere at Kingston Plantation has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
