Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 2BR/2BA Remodeled-All Rooms are Oceanfront! 12th Floor-2 Balconies-Beach Locker! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, contact the host before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
