Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • To start, have your group decide on date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. 2nd-floor studio with AC, pool, lazy river has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
