Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Seaside Comfort Queen Efficiency 16th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
