Strategies to get the best rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing your prefectrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 3 Level Home on Waterway w\/ Heated Pool & Jacuzzi has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Contact the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
