Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • First, have your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 360 VIEW OF OCEAN! RELAXATION! BREATH TAKING! NOT BETTER THAN THIS has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your family.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
