Sticking to your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. 3BR in Sand Dunes Resort Ocean View - Great Views! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. - Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home.
