Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Booking in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 5th-floor studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your family.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
