Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect rental home:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 9th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Studio w/ WiFi, Shared Pool/Hot Tub, W/D has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
