Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. WEEKLY STAY OFF 5% \nVacation in Style and Comfort - Minutes From Everything! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
