Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront Paradise Three-Bedroom Condo 15th Floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
