Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. B454 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Beach Bliss Awaits has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Have a great stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
