Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking yourrental home:

  • First, have your group decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beach Bum Paradise: 1 Bedroom Suite 2nd Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
