Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. BEAUTIFUL CONDO IN BEACHSIDE RESORT ON GOLDEN MILE has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
