Tricks and tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
