Myrtle Beach rental home tips:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful Ocean Lakes Beach Home w/ Golf Cart! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
During your stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
