Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

Sticking to a budget:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by having your family choose the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Tropical Decor. Private Access. Close to Ocean Beach and Pools. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
