Vacation rental home tips:
Get the best rental value:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Best Location 1BD condo in the center of MB+pool has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
