How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and pick your Myrtle Beach rental:

  • First, have your group commit to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 201 74th Ave N, Unit 1444 - Ocean View Sleeps 4 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
