The Neighborhood:
With an onsite restaurant, outdoor tiki bar, exercise center, multiple pools and hot tubs (indoor and outdoor), racquetball, game room, pool table, tons of lounge chairs, gliders and hammocks, corn hole and THE BEACH, there's really little need to ever leave the resort! But for those who get restless calming...
While you generally have to peel me away from wave gazing, one of my favorite things to do (besides wave gazing, hot tubbing and eating) is exploring the surrounding neighborhood. Beach Colony Resort is located in a more peaceful, residential part of town, positioned among some of the most unique, eclectic and extraordinary homes you've ever seen. There is nothing cookie cutter about it! We appreciate walking and running through the neighborhood streets dream home hunting as we trot along. In addition to the mega mansions and mid-century modern designs, just around the corner from Beach Colony is what's called the Cabana District. Myrtle Beach has developed an oceanfront exercise trail (and playground) that takes you past a stretch of super cute little cabanas. While we often bypass the exercise stations, we always debate which cabana is the best!
Though the neighborhood has a more residential feel, there are so many eateries, coffee stores and grocery stores just a stone's throw away.
Here you can get away from it all while simultaneously able to effortlessly jump back in if you choose.
Interaction with Guests:
Though I do not live onsite, you are welcome to message me through Airbnb with any questions! Airbnb will allow sharing of my phone number once a reservation is confirmed.

Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Newly Remodeled OceanFront King, Amenities Galore! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
