About this Property

Summary:
Kick back & relax in this freshly remodeled oceanfront condo @ Beach Colony Resort. Featuring modern furnishings & finishes, the condo includes a comfortable king-sized bed & queen sleeper couch, cute kitchen & roomy bath. The resort has something for everybody, w/ amenities like heated indoor & outdoor pools, hot tubs, lazy river, tiki bar, restaurant, coffee shop, racquetball, exercise center, sauna, arcade, & delightfully landscaped lawns w/ hammocks & gliders. Your ideal beach hideaway awaits!

The Space:
The bedroom features a comfortable king bed with 12-inch plush bed, huge TV, full closet, enormous dresser, cozy seating nook and an amazing ocean view - watch the sunrise without ever getting out of bed - what a great way to start the day!

There is an open concept main living space with a combined kitchen and living room overlooking the ocean. The kitchen has been charmingly transformed with crisp white shaker cabinets, butcher block counter, open concept shelving supplied with kitchen essentials and extras, stainless appliances including refrigerator, full-sized stove (rare find at the beach), dishwasher (we have one of the only condos in the resort with a dishwasher!), microwave, coffee maker (cone filters) and toaster. Watch the waves or our 55 inch TV from the plush, new sleeper couch.

The sizable balcony has seating for four that includes two Adirondack chairs and two patio chairs.

The restroom features a huge double-sink vanity, tub/shower combo, commode and plenty of hooks for wet swimsuits.

We also have a modest storage closet located on the bottom level of the resort that is ideal for housing messy beach gear. We provide two beach chairs guests are welcome to use.

Guest Access:
Our condo is equipped with a keyless lock that requires a code. On arrival day we will send guests the unit number and their unique door code once the condo has been cleaned and inspected by 4:00pm.

The Neighborhood:
With an onsite restaurant, outdoor tiki bar, exercise center, multiple pools and hot tubs (indoor and outdoor), racquetball, game room, pool table, tons of lounge chairs, gliders and hammocks, corn hole and THE BEACH, there's really little need to ever leave the resort! But for those who get restless calming...

While you generally have to peel me away from wave gazing, one of my favorite things to do (besides wave gazing, hot tubbing and eating) is exploring the surrounding neighborhood. Beach Colony Resort is located in a more peaceful, residential part of town, positioned among some of the most unique, eclectic and extraordinary homes you've ever seen. There is nothing cookie cutter about it! We adore walking and running through the neighborhood streets dream home hunting as we trot along. In addition to the mega mansions and mid-century modern designs, just around the corner from Beach Colony is what's called the Cabana District. Myrtle Beach has developed an oceanfront exercise trail (and playground) that takes you past a stretch of super cute little cabanas. While we often bypass the exercise stations, we always debate which cabana is the best!

Though the neighborhood has a more residential feel, there are so many eateries, coffee stores and grocery stores just a stone's throw away.

Here you can get away from it all while simultaneously able to comfortably jump back in if you choose.

Interaction with Guests:
Though I do not live onsite, you are welcome to message me through Airbnb with any questions! Airbnb will allow sharing of my phone number once a reservation is confirmed.

Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Choose dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Newly Remodeled OceanFront King, Amenities Galore! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
