Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

When to go & When to book:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the perfectrental:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Carolina Grande™ - 2 Bedroom Combined has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
