How to book the best rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select vacation week and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Carolina Grande™ - 3 Bedroom has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
