Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. BRIGADUNE 3 BR -- \"BEACHY\" has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
