Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Carolina Grande Resort - 2BR Suite w\/ Balcony has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
