Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Planning and picking your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Ocean Enclave, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club - 2 Bedroom Premier - Ocean Front has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
