Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Close to EVERYTHING Townhouse! has 2 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
