Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Coastal 4th Floor 3BR Angle Ocean View Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
