Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and picking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. UPDATED WITH CART AND WIFI DOGS 20 LBS OR LESS CONSIDERED SITE 1672 STARFISH LN has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.

More considerations:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
