Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Myrtle Beach Resort A532 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
