Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
How to get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Paradise Resort Unit 1611 - Oceanview has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
