Finding the best rental experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your group choose the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Amazing OCEAN FRONT Views! Newly Renovated! Walking Distance to All Myrtle. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
