How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Exquisite and Newly Remodeled Oceanfront Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
