Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- To start, have your family agree to dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. #F Lovely condo in Surfside Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If not, email the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
Tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
