Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose your prefectvacation home:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Golf Course 1st Floor Condo- Minutes from Beach\n\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
