Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review.
