Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Begin by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Harbour Lights™ - 2 Bedroom Combined has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
