Vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • To find the best rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking the perfectvacation home:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Immaculate Oceanfront King Suite! Completely Updated! - Caravelle Resort 1414 - Sleeps 2-3 Guests! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
