Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. T2205 Myrtle Beach Resort: Studio Condo with Incredible Ocean Views has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
