Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your group decide on vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Incredible Poolside Suite@Caravelle! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
