Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Choosing the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Myrtle Beach Condo. Paradise is waiting for you! Rentals still available. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If not, contact the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
