Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Finding the best value:
- To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Selecting and booking your prefectvacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. LA6 Ocean Front studio + pool has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Call the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
