Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Adore @ Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Additional considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
